Jill A. Drossman and Daniel Marks Cohen are to be married Sunday at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in New York. Rabbi Mark Kaiserman is to officiate, with Cantor Bette Cohen, the mother of the bridegroom, assisting.
Ms. Drossman, 40, is a clinical psychologist in private practice in New York, specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis and received a doctorate in clinical psychology from Yeshiva University.
She is the daughter of Neil and Ellen Drossman of New York. The bride’s father is a copywriter at Della Femina, the New York advertising agency. Her mother is the president of Drossman Jewelry, a family-owned business in New York.
Mr. Cohen, 41, is a mortgage officer at the Community Preservation Corporation, a nonprofit organization in New York that provides financing for developers and owners of moderately priced housing. He is also a Democratic State committeeman for the 69th Assembly District on the Upper West Side. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and received an M.B.A. from New York University.
He is the son of Cantor Cohen and Michael M. Cohen of New York. The bridegroom’s mother retired from Temple Emanu-El in Long Beach, N.Y. His father is an admiralty lawyer and is of counsel at Nicoletti, Hornig & Sweeney, a New York law firm.
